BEST PAV BHAJI IN DELHI

This Post on Best Pav Bhaji in Delhi should have come up at least two weeks back. But then all the good things in life come a little late. 🙂

This post can be termed an extension or Part 2 of my previous post on Vada Pao http://www.eatlagoon.com/vada-pao/ because both the items are prepared at the same outlet.

But since its Best Pav Bhaji in Delhi we are talking about, I had to give it respect by writing a separate post on it.

Pav Bhaji or also pronounced Pao Phaji is a Marathi Fast Food Dish. Pao Bhaji consists of Bhaji which is a thick potato-based curry and heavily ( or heavenly) buttered Pao or Bun.

Not only the taste, but Pao bhaji has a history behind it. Do read the history of Pao Bhaji at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pav_Bhaji .

So the story begins like this : Like always, a terribly hungry Pratyush was driving cluelessly in search of something good to eat. Suddenly his eyes glittered at the sight of a new street food outlet. The street vendor’s outlet, the reference of food, the sight of Pao Bhaji and Vada Pao looked inviting. Without waiting any further, he placed the order for the Pao Bhaji. Aspirations of the wiggling tongue were soaring high. But somewhere down his heart, there was a hidden fear. Fear of the disappointment his taste buds will have to face, if the Pao bhaji will taste below expectations, may be extremely poor like at most of the places he’s had till date in Delhi. His thoughts were broken by pao bhaji wala when he said -sir your order is ready. But probably it was one of his lucky days. It was a love at first bite. He knew instantly that he’s found a soulmate for life when it comes to pao bhaji in delhi.

Ok ok. Story time is over now, like all fairytales this one also ended after the Fat prince met his soulmate Pao Bhaji.

HEHEHE. But guys this is 21st century and the Fat Prince is actually a playboy who’ll keep flirting with different types of pao bhajis, till he finds a new lover. Till then the fatty is happy in a stable relationship.

Now coming back to reality. Yes, this is the best, tastiest Pao Bhaji I’ve ever had in Delhi. But the best I have ever tasted is Sardar Pao Bhaji in Mumbai. I will come up with a post on it very soon. There is a very good Pao Bhaji wala near Pitampura metro station. Even I make some extremely tasty Pao Bhaji, But this one was the best I’ve ever had in Delhi-NCR.

GOOD HELPING OF BUTTER

GOOD HELPING OF BUTTER

This is the same man who made the tastiest Vada Pao I’ve had in Delhi.

The shop’s name is fingerlickerz. It is in Dwarka Sector 11 Market. It has 5 types of Pao Bhaji, Vada Pao and Veg Bombay Biryani.

Tastiest according to me is the regular Tadka Pav Bhaji. It is the cheapest too. Masala Pav Bhaji is the regular Pav Bhaji with masala Buns. It is a great option too. Cheese Pao Bhaji is nothing special. Just a slice of cheese added to the bhaji. Khadi Pao Bhaji is extra chopped veggies added to the bhaji.

Bombay Biryani is not that great.

Vada Pav’s are awesome. Have already written about them in my previous post on vada pao. You can check my post on Vada Pav here : http://www.eatlagoon.com/vada-pao/

If you are in Delhi, this is one place you should visit , if you come anywhere near Dwarka.

Extra work of caution. He adds lots and lots of butter, so the calorie conscious people can ask him to go easy on the butter.
