Hi guys. Few days ago I posted a recipe of a diet soup or in other words weight loss soup which I found on the YouTube. I tried it personally and it worked for me. And I have reduced a lot of weight. But a foodaholic like me, surviving on just simple, tasteless soup was a little difficult. So I tried modifying the soup as per my taste and it tasted delicious.

Diet Soup Recipe
1. 3 Litres of Water
2. 1 Pack of Ching’s Secret Veg Manchow Soup
3. 1 Cabbage
4. 8 Tomatoes
5. 4 Small Onions
6. 2 Sweet yellow capsicum or bell peppers
7. 2 Green capsicum or bell peppers
8. 7 Cloves garlic
9. 2 Small Broccoli
10. 1 Cauliflower
11. 4 Green onions
12. 1 inch piece of Ginger
13. 2 tsp. Cumin powder
14. 5 tsp. Oregano
15. 2 tsp. – Black pepper
16. 1 tbsp. lemon juice it needed
17. Salt to taste
18. 2 pinches of Asafoetida
Step 1. Wash All Vegetables and coarsely chop them. Finely mince ginger and garlic.
Step 2. Put 3 litres of water for boiling in a large and deep pan.
Step 3. Add 1 full pack of Ching’s Secret Veg Man-chow Soup Powder. This is to bring some good flavour to the otherwise a dull soup. And since it will be used with so many veges and water, actual calorie content per serving will be negligible. Also why I insist on Ching’s Secret is because it is MSG free. Soups or veg stock cubes of other famous companies are not.
Step 4. Add chopped Cabbage, Tomatoes, Onions, Cauliflower, Broccoli to the water and cook for 15 mins.
Step 5. Take out all tomatoes and 70% of other boiling veges. Allow them to cool. For fast cooling, keep them in front of AC and below fan. They will cool down in 5 mins, specially in winters. Meanwhile put the gas on a simmer.
Step 6. After 5 mins put all the veggies, kept for cooling, in a blender and blend well. Put this paste back in the boiling soup
Step 7. Add all the remaining veggies. Don’t forget to mince ginger and garlic before adding them in the soup. Don’t put lemon juice now. Use it at the end if needed.
Step 8. After 10 mins, turn the stove off and add all the spices.
Step 9. Voila! Your diet soup is ready to be served. Enjoy it !!
