Imagine this Scene.
A Chilling Foggy winter evening, like we have in Delhi these days. You are coming back from your work, feeling a little hungry and chilled to your bones. You see a road side pakode wala selling some hot pakodas.
Will you stop your car or will you not? Honest Answer Please !!! 🙂
I know you will. Screw the diet plan, I know you will !! 🙂
This is what hot pakodas can do to us.
And if the pakodas are prepared by Khandani Pakode Wala than they can even be relished in the scorching summer noon.
Khandani Pakode Wala is phenomenal Pakoda shop in business since last 40-45 years. Its located in Naroji Nagar, adjacent to the Ring Road in New Delhi (kindly check the Map given below).
Types of pakodas served are : Paneer (cottage cheese), Patoda(made from the leaves of Arbi or Taro), Soyabean chop, Sweet Corn, Palak Methi Pyaaz( Spinach, fenugreek leaves and onion), Aloo Tikki (potato patty), Aloo Matar seekh (Skewed Popapo and Peas Patty), Kamal Kakdi ( lotus stem), Karela Masala (bitter gourd), Pyaaz (onion), Gobhi (Cauliflower), Baingan (Egg Plant), Bread and Hari Mirch(Green Chilli). Though every single type of pakodas taste divine, but I will personally Recommend patoda, palak methi pyaaz, aloo matar seekh kamal kakdi and karela masala as they not only taste great, but are not available at any other pakoda outlet.
What makes these pakodas special is the secret malasa filling used inside the pakodas and a very tangy, spicy and finger licking chatni made of tamarind, onion, coriander and chillies which is served with the pakodas.
They also serve mineral water, coconut water, tomato soup and coffee. If you want more, than adjacent shop sells some yummy lassi.
This is a very small outlet, but can easily be identified by the kind of rush of people waiting for their turn to buy pakodas . Still I have enclosed a map for your convenience.
If you are a die are food lover and keep searching for great places to eat, you should not miss this legendary pakode wala or your taste buds will always come in your dreams to haunt you . HEHE
My Ratings :
Pakodas : 5/5
Chatni : 5/5
Rs 10-12 for one pakoda. The size of one single pakoda is very big and they are damn cheap for the quality and quantity. I’ve enclosed the price list for your reference.
Value for Money:
Sorry for the joke.
Happy New Year to all! May your taste buds are satisfied this year!! Happy Eating 🙂
